System Of A Down "CIGARO" In January 2005, System Of A Down wanted to give a special thanks to all of their core fans and the StreetWise SOAD Team for their dedication over the years. The band sent out a link to a free download of their new song “Cigaro” to the 7,000 members of the SOAD Team and eTeam. Within 48 hours, the song received over 130,000 downloads by music fans in over 120 countries across the globe. Fans in Australia, Cuba, Iraq, Sweden and Germany, to name a few, have accessed our webpage and downloaded the song. This strategy has increased 10-fold what any CD sampler on the streets could have achieved; the SOAD Team literally turned a single email blast into a global frenzy for the band.
